공하고, 완공식을 지난달 30일 베트남 붕따우성에서 가졌음

○ 생산공장은 베트남의 경제수도인 호치민에서 남동쪽으로 85km 떨어진 항만도시 '바

리아 붕따우성 포모사' 공단에 위치하며, 부지15만 116㎡(약 4만 5490평)에 내열유

리 제조 설비를 갖췄음

○ 이날 완공식에는 김준일 (주)락앤락 회장을 비롯한 주요 임직원들과 베트남 현지 정

부관계자와 시공관계사 주요 임원들이 참석함

○ 대한전선이 최근 동남아 시장 진출 확대를 위해 인도네시아의 최대 전선업체인 수

카코사와 전략적 제휴를 위한 의향서를 체결했다고 3일 밝힘

○ 이번 의향서에서 대한전선은 초고압 전력케이블 분야에서 우수한 기술력과 노하우

를 제공하고 수카코사에서는 최소 1000만달러 규모의 전략적 투자와 원자재 조달

등 양사가 다양한 제휴방안을 적극 추진해 나가기로 함

○ 이번 협력을 통해 수카코사와 대한전선의 자회사인 베트남 TSC와의 동남아 시장

개척을 위한 시너지 효과도 기대되며, 수카코사는 내달 중순경 최고 경영진이 대한

의 여러 어려움 속에서도 적극적인 사업을 전개했다는 평가를 받고 있으며, 특히

2013년 ‘글로벌 CJ(매출 38조원)’, 2020년 ‘그레이트 CJ(매출 100조원)’를 달성하

임. 우선 택배 부문만 따지면 대한통운과 CJ GLS 통합회사의 시장점유율은 작년

기준 27.8%로 높아져 업계에서 확고한 1위를 굳히게 되었음. 이는 2위 한진

(11.9%), 3위 현대로지엠(11.1%)에 비해 월등히 높은 것이며, 군소업체가 난립하는

택배업계에 전체 시장의 4분의 1 이상을 지배하는 강력한 구심점이 나타남으로써

택배업계의 판이 새롭게 짜일 수 있다는 게 업계 관계자들의 시각임. CJ 이관훈 대

표는 대한통운 인수작업 초기에 “대한통운과 CJ GLS를 통합하면 사업 특성, 주력

사업, 고객군에서 각각 강점이 달라 최고의 시너지 창출이 가능하다”는 명분을 내세

운 바 있으며, CJ GLS는 지식형 물류회사로 보관·배송에 강점이 있고, 대한통운은

자산형 물류회사로 운송·항만하역 부문에 강점이 있다는 것이며, 이에 따라 양사가

통합할 경우 물류 전 과정에서 모든 서비스를 구축해 원스톱 솔루션 제공이 가능해

질 전망임. 또한 CJ는 대한통운의 주요 고객군인 군수·사료·곡물·철강·자동차 부문

과의 시너지 효과를 기대하고 있음

○ 일각에서는 대한통운과 CJ GLS의 결합이 택배업을 넘어 물류업 전체의 판도를 바

꿔놓을지도 주목하고 있으며, CJ그룹은 지난 6월 대한통운 인수 우선협상대상자로

선정된 직후 “물류회사인 CJ GLS, 해외로 활발하게 진출하는 CJ오쇼핑과의 시너지

를 통해 대한통운을 그룹 내 주요 성장축으로 삼겠다”며 “DHL 등 세계적인 물류기

업과 경쟁할 아시아 대표 물류기업으로 키울 것”이라고 밝힌 바 있음. 실제로 CJ그

룹 고위 관계자는 “동남아시아와 중국에 주로 진출해 있는 CJ GLS와 미국, 독일,

일본 등 30여개국에 물류망을 가동하는 대한통운이 합쳐지면 해외 물류 분야에서도

상당한 상승효과를 낼 수 있을 것”이라고 말함. CJ의 물류기업인 CJ GLS는 지난해

매출 1조4000억원 가운데 4500억원을 해외 물류로 벌었으며, CJ GLS의 2013년

매출 목표는 3조원임. 대한통운 인수로 글로벌 도약에 더욱 힘이 실릴 것으로 보이

며, 하지만 대한통운 노동조합이 인수전 때 CJ 인수에 대해 반대 입장을 분명히 한

것은 걸림돌로 작용할 전망임. 이에 대해 CJ 측은 “지난해 인수한 온미디어의 경우

온미디어 대표가 통합회사의 대표 역할을 수행하고, 온미디어 출신 인력 대부분 통

합회사에서 핵심을 담당하고 있다”면서 대한통운의 기존 인력을 중용할 뜻을 내비

쳤음. CJ그룹의 2012년 경영전략을 주요 사업 군 별로 살펴보면, 식품&식품서비스

부문에서는 ‘비비고’ ‘뚜레쥬르’ 등을 글로벌 대표 브랜드로 육성하고 김치, 막걸리

등 한국 대표 식품의 해외 판로 개척을 통해 한식 세계화를 주도한다는 계획임. CJ

제일제당은 국내 지역막걸리 제조업체가 생산한 막걸리를 일본 전역에 수출하고 있

으며, 천일염을 프랑스의 명품 소금 게랑드처럼 세계적 명품소금으로 키우기 위한

중장기 비전을 짜고 있음.

○ 또한 CJ제일제당이 개발한 타가토스, 자일로스 등 신소재 사업도 본격화한다는 목

표도 가지고 있으며, 식품신소재는 설탕, 밀가루 등 기존 소재식품의 한계성을 극복

고, 바이오 부문에서는 그린바이오의 글로벌 시장 확대를 가속화한다는 계획임. CJ

제일제당의 바이오산업은 세계 1위 핵산과 2위 라이신을 보유하는 등 명실상부한

CJ제일제당의 캐시카우(Cash Cow) 사업분야로 자리매김하고 있으며, 특히 핵산과

라이신의 생산 케파 증설효과가 2012년부터 매년 적용되며, 2014년 초부터는 핵산

과 라이신 보다 세계시장 규모가 더 큰 메치오닌(사료용 아미노산)을 본격 생산할

예정임. CJ제일제당은 그 동안 석유 화학공법으로 생산되던 메치오닌을 세계에서

유일하게 원당, 포도당 원료로 사용한 바이오(BIO) 공법으로 생산할 수 있는 기술을

보유하고 있어 시장성을 기대할 수 있으며, 바이오부문은 내수위주인 식품분야와는

달리 생산공장과 판매가 모두 해외에서 이뤄지는 진정한 의미의 글로벌 사업분야

로, 특히 연간 영업이익율이 20% 내외로 매우 높아 전사 수익성을 강화해주는 효

자 사업임. 2015년에는 바이오 한분야에서만 3조원이 넘는 매출을 기대하고 있음.

신유통 부문에서는 중국 및 동남아, 일본 등 아시아 지역에서 유통망을 확대해 국

내 중소기업 제품의 해외 판로 개척을 지원하고, 대한통운과 CJ GLS간의 시너지를

통해 세계 7대 물류기업으로 성장하기 위한 발판을 마련할 방침임.

○ 마지막으로 엔터테인먼트&미디어 부문에서는 올해 통합법인으로 출범한 CJ E&M의

시너지 효과를 극대화하는 것을 목표로 하고 있으며, 또한 최근 K-POP 등의 한류

를 거둔 바 있음. M-Live 브라질 프로젝트 경우 한번도 진출하지 않았던 남미 시장

가능해 ‘21세기형 광개토대왕 프로젝트’로 불림. 2회에 걸쳐 국내 건설업체의 신도

시 수출 활약상과 보완과제 등을 짚어봄

○ 베트남의 수도 하노이 구도심에서 서북쪽으로 6km 떨어진 떠이호떠이 지역. 도심에

서 유일하게 남은 서울 여의도 크기의 논에 2011년 말 대규모 광고탑과 펜스가 설

치됐다. 광고탑엔 ‘떠이호떠이(THT)개발법인이 이곳을 주거·업무·문화시설이 어우러

진 신도시로 개발한다’는 내용이 담겼음. THT법인은 대우건설이 100% 투자해 설립

한 회사임. 하노이 시 투자건설국의 쩐득부 부국장은 “이 신도시는 하노이 최대 규

모의 개발사업이자 최대 규모의 외국인 투자사업”이라며 “한국의 신도시 개발 노하

우를 배우고 싶다”고 말함

○ 베트남의 ‘경제수도’ 호찌민 시에서 남쪽에 위치한 힙푹산업단지를 잇는 냐베 지역.

잡목이 무성하고 웅덩이 천지였던 이곳 입구는 최근 모래로 잘 다져진 거대한 공터

로 변신했으며, GS건설이 이곳에 350만 m² 규모의 신도시를 짓기로 하고 지난해 4

월 본격적인 토지조성 공사에 들어간 것이다. ‘한국형 신도시’ 개발 소식에 현지 업

체들도 신도시 개발지를 따라 주택건설 계획을 쏟아내며 높은 관심을 보임

○ 베트남에서는 국내 건설사가 주요 신도시의 설계부터 인프라 조성, 시공, 자금조달,

관리·운영까지 도시개발에 필요한 모든 과정을 통째로 맡는 ‘한국형 신도시’ 사업이

본격화되고 있으며, 대우건설은 208만 m² 규모의 떠이호떠이 신도시에 베트남 최고

층인 100층짜리 랜드마크빌딩를 비롯해 5500채의 아파트와 국제학교가 들어서는

주거단지, 업무·문화·상업지구를 개발하기로 함. 베트남 건설국, 투자청 등 정부청사

도 입주를 확정했으며, 이권상 대우건설 개발사업본부 상무는 “대우가 현지에 가장

먼저 진출한 외국 기업인 점을 높이 사 베트남 정부가 ‘베트남의 월가’로 개발해달

라는 요청을 먼저 해왔다”며 “2006년 투자 허가를 받은 뒤 토지보상 문제, 글로벌

금융위기 여파로 지연되다 3월 기공식을 하고 첫 삽을 뜬다”고 말함

○ GS건설도 냐베 신도시를 주택 1만7000채와 초고층 오피스빌딩, 대형쇼핑몰, 컨벤

션센터, 종합병원, 국제학교 등이 들어서는 복합신도시로 개발할 계획이며, 한국의

분당과 일산신도시 개발에 참여했던 국내 설계사무소와 엔지니어링업체가 마스터플

랜 및 기본설계 등을 주도했다. 박봉서 GS건설 베트남개발담당 상무는 “우리가 부

산에 9000여 채의 대단지로 개발한 ‘LG메트로시티’를 호찌민 시가 둘러본 뒤 신도

시 개발을 맡겼다”며 “한국의 앞선 기술과 능력을 보여주기 위해 건설업계를 시작

으로 한국 기업의 진출이 이어질 것”이라고 말함

○ 떠이호떠이 신도시엔 우수한 성적의 중고등학생을 선발해 교육하는 ‘한국형 영재학

교’도 들어설 예정이며, 올해 한-베트남 수교 20주년을 기념해 한국의 교육과학기

술부가 베트남에 ‘선물’하는 영재학교임. 냐베 신도시는 국내 대기업 계열의 종합병

원이 입주를 타진하기도 했으며 최근 호주국제학교의 개교를 확정지은 것을 비롯해

든 것이 다 들어가야 한다”며 “한국의 주거, 의료·교육, IT문화가 한꺼번에 진출하

는 셈”이라고 강조했으며, 박 상무는 “생명력 있는 도시로 만들기 위해서는 하드웨

어 못지않게 도시 안에 담을 콘텐츠가 중요하다”며 “도시경쟁력을 높일 수 있는 병

원과 학교, 문화·쇼핑센터 등을 유치하기 위해 내년에 해외 로드쇼를 펼치며 마케팅

에 나설 것”이라고 말함

리 등을 민간기업이 하는 방식임. 이미 호찌민 시에서는 대만 개발업체와 베트남 공

기업이 합작해 조성한 푸미흥 신도시에서 전기공급, 치안 등의 도시 관리를 개발회

사가 맡고 있으며, 박 상무는 “국내에는 생소한 개념이지만 도시 운영·관리 쪽에서

수익을 낼 수 있는 길이 무궁무진하다”며 “다른 기업이 개발한 신도시도 넘겨받아

운영하는 등 앞으로 도시 매니지먼트 사업을 신사업으로 키우는 것도 검토 중”이라

베트남 펀드 가혹한 한 해

○ 해외펀드가 부진한 수익률로 자금이탈에 시달리는 가운데 베트남 펀드 투자자들에

게 2011년은 더욱 가혹한 한해였음. 한때 해외펀드 붐을 타고 고공행진하던 수익률

이 급전직하해 '반토막' 펀드라는 오명을 쓰게 된 것. 급기야 만기를 앞두고 베트남

펀드들의 수익률이 부진하자 각 자산운용사들은 만기를 연장하며 수익률 회복을 선

언함

○ 한국투자신탁운용은 지난 10월 베트남펀드인 '한국월드와이드베트남혼합증권펀드 2

호'의 만기를 연장했으며, 지난 5월 1호 펀드에 이어 2호 펀드의 만기를 연장, 58%

에 이르는 손실폭을 줄여보겠다는 취지에서임. 만기 연장을 결정하는 수익자 총회

에서는 백발의 은퇴자부터 전업주부에 이르기까지 반토막난 펀드를 성토함

○ 한 투자자는 "5년동안 투자했는데 60% 손실이 말이 되냐"며 "베트남지수 변동과 환

율을 고려하더라도 손실폭이 과하다"고 토로했으며, 또 다른 투자자는 "급등기에 주

식편입비를 증가하면서 높은 가격에 주식을 매입하는 바람에 더욱 손실이 커졌다"며

"만기를 연장하더라도 수익률을 회복할 수 있겠느냐"며 울분을 토함. 이날 총회에

참석한 한국운용 관계자는 투자자들의 계속되는 원성에 머리를 숙일 수밖에 없었음.

결국 펀드 만기일은 2016년 11월 30일로 5년 연장됐고, 기존 폐쇄형이 개방형으로

전환됨에 따라 투자자들은 자유롭게 환매할 수 있게 됨. 회사 측은 연장 이후 운용

보수와 판매보수를 부과하지 않기로 함

○ 미래에셋맵스자산운용의 베트남 펀드도 재수 끝에 개방형으로 전환됐다. 미래에셋맵

스운용은 지난 10월 수익자총회를 열고 '미래에셋맵스 오퍼튜니티 베트남 주식혼합

형 1호'를 개방형으로 전환하는 등의 안건을 가결했으며, 해당 펀드는 지난 2006년

12월 설정됐으며, 당시 설정후 수익률이 -15.09%로 부진한 성과를 보인 바 있음

○ 국내 주요 운용사의 베트남펀드 만기 연장은 투자자 보호에 대한 중요성을 다시 한

번 환기했다는 점에서 눈길을 끌었으며, 고수익을 노린 무분별한 해외펀드 투자에
