11일 코스피지수는 전일대비 50.20p(2.77%) 오른 1863.45로 마감했다. 1%대 반등세로 출발했지만 오후들어 기관 매수세가 큰 폭으로 늘어나면서 단숨에 1860선을 회복했다. 뉴욕증시가 1% 미만으로 반등하고 일본 증시도 혼조세로 마감한데 비해 상승폭이 상대적으로 컸다.
개인과 기관이 순매수세를 나타내며 지수 상승을 이끌었다. 기관은 오후들어 매수 폭을 확대하며 2804억원 순매수세를 나타냈다. 투신이 1466억원, 기금이 914억원 매수우위를 보였다. 개인은 2030억원 순매수로 마감했다. 외국인은 3일 연속 매도우위를 보였다. 2634억원 순매도세로 전일에 비해 매도 규모는 줄었다.
프로그램매맴는 2432억원 순매도세로 마감했다. 비차익거래가 968억원 순매수세를 나타냈지만 차익거래에서 3400억원 순매도를 보였다.
업종별로는 전업종이 상승한 가운데 전기전자업종이 4.3% 상승하며 돋보였다. 삼성전자가 5%대 상승한 것을 비롯해 LG전자가 6% 오름세를 보이며 상승을 이끌었다. 하이닉스는 강보합에 그쳤다.
운송장비 주도 3%대 오름세를 보였고 화학, 섬유의복, 기계업종은 각각 2%대 상승했다. 금융업도 2%대 오름세를 보였다. 철강금속은 1% 상승했다.
시가총액 상위종목도 일제히 상승세를 보였다. 현대차, 현대모비스, 기아차는 2~4%대 상승세를 보였고 포스코는 1%대 오름세로 상대적으로 부진했다.
LG화학이 3%, 신한지주와 KB금융은 2~3% 상승했다. SK이노베이션이 5%, S-Oil이 3% 오르며 정유주도 상승했다.
코스피200지수선물 12월물은 3.50포인트 오른 241.30으로 마감했다. 외환시장에서 원/달러 환율은 하루만에 하락세로 돌아서 7.5원 내린 1126.7로 거래를 마쳤다.

11일(현지시간) 뉴욕증시는 큰 폭으로 상승하며 9일 낙폭을 대부분 만회했다. 다우존스 산업평균지수는 전날대비 259.89포인트(2.19%) 뛴 1만2153.68로, 나스닥지수는 53.60포인트(2.04%) 상승한 2678.75로, S&P500 지수는 24.16포인트(1.95%) 오른 1263.85로 거래를 마쳤다.
이날 뉴욕증시는 급등 출발한 뒤 마감때까지 꾸준히 상승폭을 키웠다. 미국 소비심리지표가 예상밖으로 좋게 나오고 이탈리아 상원이 경제개혁안을 통과시켰다는 소식이 키폭제가 됐다. 이탈리아 국채금리도 6.5%밑으로 내려왔다.
블룸버그통신에 따르면 이날 이탈리아 상원은 전날 상원 예산위원회가 승인한 경제 개혁안을 찬성 156표 대 반대 12표로 가결했다. 이탈리아가 이미 유럽연합에 약속한 성장 촉진과 부채 감축을 위한 방안이 개혁법안에 담겼다. 경기부양을 위한 세금 감면, 150억 유로 상당의 국유자산 매각, 노동시장 유연화, 공공서비스 민영화 등이다. 이탈리아 하원은 이르면 오는 12일 이 법안을 표결, 여기서 법안이 가결되면 베를루스코니 총리는 사임한다.
이 소식에 이탈리아 국채금리는 이틀째 진정세를 보였다. 이탈리아의 10년물 국채금리는 전날보다 0.39% 하락한 6.48%를 나타냈다.

';유럽 스트레스'; 줄어들었지만 공매도 변수 있어
지난주 국내 증시는 이탈리아 재정 위기 변수로 크게 출렁거렸다. 이탈리아 국채 금리 인상이라는 돌발 변수가 터져 나오면서 주가는 한때 1810선까지 주저앉기도 했다.

이번 주도 유럽 변수로부터 자유롭지는 못할 전망이다. 이탈리아와 그리스 모두 새 정부가 들어서면서 정치 불안은 다소 해소됐지만, 유럽계 은행 부실 문제 등 시한폭탄은 그대로 남아 있기 때문이다.

다만, 지난 주말 베를루스코니 총리의 실각 소식에 이탈리아 10년물 국채 수익률이 6%대 중반으로 떨어지고, 세계 증시가 일제히 오름세를 보인 점은 희망을 갖게 하는 대목이다.

이번 주에 발표될 국내외 경제지표들은 그리 나쁘지 않을 것으로 예상된다. 오재열 IBK투자증권 팀장은 "이번 주 중 미국에서 물가지표, 실질지표, 주택지표 등이 잇따라 발표되는데 비교적 양호한 흐름을 보일 전망"이라고 말했다.

그는 "지난주 말 발표된 미국 소비자심리지수가 6월 이후 최고치를 기록하는 등 미 경제의 견조한 회복세가 주가 하락을 방어해줄 것"이라고 덧붙였다.

글로벌 증시에서 불안감이 많이 사라지긴 했지만, 국내 투자자들은 한 가지 더 신경 써야 할 변수가 있다. 지난 10일부터 공매도 제한 조치가 해제되면서 외국인 투자자들의 행보가 심상치 않다.

공매도란 빌린 주식을 매각한 후 나중에 주가가 떨어지면 싼 값에 되사서 갚는 일종의 투기성 금융기법이다. 주가가 급락할수록 시세차익이 커지기 때문에 주가하락을 부추기는 주범으로 지목된다.

지난 10일 금융 당국의 공매도 금지 조치가 해제되자마자 3808억원어치 공매도가 이뤄지면서 거래 대금이 2008년 9월 이후 최대치를 기록했다. 공매도에서 외국인이 차지하는 비중은 80%를 웃돈다.

강송철 유진투자증권 연구원은 "실적이 부진한데도 업종 내에서 주가가 평균 이상으로 올라 고평가된 종목은 공매도 집중 표적이 될 수 있으니 주의해야 한다"고 말했다.
