코트라가 지난 4~9일 요르단 중고차 수입바이어 100개사를 대상으로 한국자동차 선호이유를 설문조사한 결과, 가장 많은 수입바이어가 저렴한 가격(45％)을 꼽았다.
한국산 중고차는 요르단 중산층이 구입하기 가장 적정한 가격대로 대부분의 요르단 중산층은 8400달러~1만1200달러가격대의 중고차를 선호하는 편이다.
응답자들은 또 우수한 연비(31％), 다양한 옵션(21％), 우수한 성능(3％)을 한국산 중고차를 즐겨찾는 이유로 지적했다.
지난해 한국산 중고차 가운데 요르단 수입바이어가 가장 많이 수입한 차종은 아반떼로 87％를 차지했고, 쏘나타와 엑센트가 각각 10％, 3％로 뒤를 이었다.
또 수입한 중고차 가격대로는 3000달러 이하가 45％로 가장 많았고, 1만달러 이상(22％), 3000달러~5000달러(19％), 7500달러~1만달러(8％), 5000달러~7500달러(6％) 순으로 높았다.
요르단 바이어들은 한국 중고차 수입시 선호하는 색깔로는 은색(39％), 흰색(24％), 검정(13％) 등을 꼽았다.
코트라 관계자는 "한국산 중고차는 저렴한 가격, 우수한 연비, 원활한 부품 조달로 최고 인기"라며 "특히 2000년 이전 생산된 아반테는 날개돋친 듯 팔리고 최근 6~9인승 승합차도 인기"라고 말했다.
이 관계자는 다만 "올해 한국산 수입규모는 작년과 같은 수준을 유지할 것이나 연식 제한조치가 이뤄지면 큰 타격이 예상된다"며 "원화절상도 복병으로 작용할 것"이라고 말했다.
