웹에서 파일을 찾아 다운로드받아 실행해야 하는 불편함뿐만 아니라 업데이트를 위해 파일을 매번 교체해야 하는 번거로움까지 사라진 셈이다.

이에 대해 한 개발자는 "라이선스 코드를 넣으면 불법 유통 여부를 체크할 수 있지만 크랙커들이 바로 그 라이선스 코드를 무력화하고 있다는 것이 문제"라면서 "아무리 복잡하게 코드를 심어도 뚫리는 경우가 많다"고 말했다.
업계 관계자는 "애플이 아이튠스를 통해 결제 시스템을 일원화하고 탈옥폰의 경우 사후관리에서 불이익을 주는 것처럼 구글도 자체 시스템에 맞는 보호 시스템을 고민해야 할 것"이라고 말했다.
