(광저우=연합뉴스) 특별취재단 = 한국선수단이 광저우아시안게임 초반부터 `금 벼락'을 맞았다.
종합 2위 수성에 나선 한국은 14일 중국 광저우에서 계속된 제16회 아시아경기대회에서 하루동안 금메달 9개와 은메달 7개, 동메달 4개를 쓸어담았다.
대회 이틀만에 금메달 13개, 은메달 10개, 동메달 12개를 수확한 한국은 일본(금8, 은20, 동15개)을 제치고 국가별 종합순위에서 2위로 올라섰다.
`공룡' 중국은 금메달 37개, 은메달 14개, 동메달 12개로 단독 질주를 계속했다.
태릉선수촌 전력 분석팀조차 예상 못한 `슈퍼 골든데이'였다.

한국의 여자 사수들도 뒤지지 않았다.
김윤미(28)와 김병희(28.이상 서산시청) 이호림(22.한체대)은 여자 공기권총 10ｍ 단체전에서 금메달을 차지했다.
특히 임신 7개월인 `예비 엄마' 김윤미는 개인전에서도 1위를 차지하며 2관왕에 오르는 투혼을 발휘했다.
한국 사격은 이틀 동안 최강국 중국과 금메달 5개씩을 나눠 갖는 이변을 일으켰다.
유도장에서는 이틀 연속 일본의 메달밭을 유린했다.

예상 밖의 무더기 금메달 소식에 한국선수단은 함박웃음을 감추지 못하고 있다.
김종덕 태릉선수촌 훈련지원본부장은 "당초 일본의 강세 종목인 수영과 유도가 끝나는 시점에서 금메달 15개 정도 뒤져도 역전할 수 있다고 계산했지만 선수들이 기대 이상의 선전을 펼쳐 일찌감치 단독 2위가 됐다"고 밝혔다.
그는 또 "아직 확신할 수는 없지만 4회 연속 종합 2위 수성에 한결 유리해진 것은 분명한 사실"이라고 기쁨을 감추지 않았다.
