○ 네오위즈게임즈는 2007년 모회사인 네오위즈에서 기업 분할로 설립된 게임회사이

며, 네오위즈는 '새로움'을 의미하는 'neo'와 '마법사'를 뜻하는 'wizard'의 합성어로

'새로운 마법사'란 의미를 담고 있음. 1997년에 설립된 네오위즈는 국내 최초 인터

넷 자동접속 프로그램 '원클릭'을 출시, 인터넷업계 대표주자로 떠올랐음. 이후 인터

넷에서 가상의 분신인 '아바타'라는 개념을 세계 최초로 선보이며 새로운 상용화 비

즈니스 모델을 내놨음. 당시만 해도 인터넷 기업의 수익 모델은 광고가 유일했으며,

○ 네오위즈게임즈는 게임업계에서도 '마법사'였으며, 불모지였던 FPS 게임 시장을 '스

페셜포스'로 성공시켜 개척했으며, 2007년에는 국내 최초로 세계 최대 게임회사인

일렉트로닉아츠(Electronic Arts)와 1000억원 규모의 지분 투자 및 게임 공동 개발

계약을 체결했음. 일렉트로닉아츠와는 그동안 '피파 온라인' 시리즈와 '배틀필드 온

라인' 등을 만들었으며, '피파 온라인2'는 지난해 최고 동시접속자 수 22만명을 기

록하는 등 지금도 국내 스포츠게임 1위를 달리고 있음

○ 네오위즈게임즈는 하반기에도 가파른 상승세를 몰아간다는 계획을 세웠으며, 상반기

에 처음으로 매출의 해외 비중이 50%를 넘은 여세를 몰아 글로벌 경쟁력을 한층

강화할 예정임. 크로스파이어에 이어 또 다른 FPS게임인 '아바'가 최근 일본 북미

대만 등지에서 동시접속자 수 1만명을 돌파하면서 새로운 수익원으로 자리잡았고,

그동안 축적한 해외 진출 노하우를 발판으로 게임 유통업체(퍼블리셔) 없이 다중역

할접속게임(MMOPRG) 4종과 웹게임 2종을 일본과 북미，유럽 지역에 직접 출시하

기로 함

글로벌 한국금융, 베트남 등 해외 전략 적극적

○ 국내 은행의 해외점포 총자산은 지난해 말 564억 달러로 2009년 말보다 26억달러

(4.9%) 증가했다고 금융감독원이 16일 밝혔으며, 중국과 베트남 등 신흥시장에서의

자산 규모가 크게 늘었음. 국내 은행들은 해외 진출을 생존의 문제로 여기고 있으

며, 국내 금융시장이 포화 상태에 이르렀다는 것임. 당면 과제는 현지화와 해외 전

문가 양성. 은행들은 해외 현지 영업을 늘리고, 해외 전문가 그룹을 양성하는 등 적

극적으로 대처하고 있음

○ 국민은행은 앞으로 지속 성장이 예상되는 중국·인도·인도네시아·베트남 등 이머징

마켓 진출을 확대하고 있으며, 올해 인도 뭄바이, 베트남 하노이에 사무소 낼 계획

임. 국민은행은 신입 행원을 뽑을 때 투자은행(IB) 부문 학위 소지자를 확보하는 등

해외진출 업무를 맡을 인재 채용에 적극 나서고 있으며, 지난 4월에는 해외 우수

인재 150명을 채용함

○ 기업은행은 중소기업 지원 전담 은행으로서의 역할을 해외 진출에서도 백분 활용할

계획이며, 중소기업이 많이 나간 중국의 점포를 현재 8개에서 2012년 말 13개로 늘

리고, 베트남·홍콩·인도·태국 등지에 대해서도 큰 관심을 보이고 있음. 기업은행은

본격적으로 현지 진출을 하기 전 1인 주재원을 파견하며, 지난 2월에는 인도와 말

레이시아 등 유망국 4곳에 주재원을 파견, 현지 조사를 벌이고 있음

○ 산업은행은 해외지점 영향력을 나타내는 지표인 초국적화 지수를 비교했을 때 국내

은행 평균은 3.6%에 불과하지만, 산업은행의 지수는 11.8%에 이름. IB 업무에 특

화된 포트폴리오를 갖고 있기 때문에 해외진출에 상대적으로 유리하다는 평가를 받

음. 노융기 국제금융본부장은 “현재 5% 내외인 해외수익 비중을 2020년 20%로 끌

어올리겠다.”고 밝힘

○ 신한은행은 5월 현재 14개국에 54곳의 글로벌 네트워크를 보유했으며, 해외 진출

초기부터 현지화에 초점을 맞추고 지점보다는 현지법인 은행 형태로 진출하는 게

신한은행 해외진출의 특징임. 앞으로도 현지법인 네트워크를 중심으로 현지 조달과

고객 확보에 주력한다는 목표를 세웠으며, 진출국 특성에 맞춰 적극적으로 자율성을

부여할 계획으로 신한은행은 일본·베트남·중국·인도를 핵심시장으로 선정함

○ 외환은행은 지난해 말 기준으로 21개 국가에 49개 점포를 보유하고 있는 외환은행

은 올해 말까지 점포수를 55개로 늘릴 계획이며, 원전·철도·항만 등 사회간접자본

(SOC) 참여로 대규모 금융수요가 예상되는 아랍에미리트연합의 수도 아부다비에

지점을 설립하기로 함. 한·인도 포괄적 경제동반자협정(CEPA)을 체결한 인도 첸나

이에도 지점이 신설되며, 국내 은행 진출이 활발하지 못한 곳에도 외환은행은 진출

함

○ 우리은행은 5월 현재 15개 국가에 53곳의 네트워크를 구축했으며, 지역별 리스크를

고려해 수익성이 보장된다는 확신이 설 때 해외진출을 하는 우리은행은 최근 지역

별로 현지 예금을 적극 유치하는 데 주력하고 있음. 해외진출 일선에서는 그 동안

양성된 지역전문가가 활약하는데, 올해까지 11차례에 걸쳐 31개국에서 72명의 지역

전문가가 양성됐으며, 이들의 80%가 해외점포와 관련된 업무를 하고 있음

○ 하나은행의 중국법인 현지직원 비율은 93.1%로 국내 은행 평균인 77.7%보다 높으

며, 철저한 현지화를 꾀하는 하나은행의 자세가 드러나는 대목임. 하나은행은 현지

은행과 지분참여·업무제휴 방식으로 현지 기반을 다지고 있으며, 중국 지린은행 지

분에 참여했고, 초상은행과는 전략적 업무제휴를 맺고 중국 카드시장 개척에 나서는

등 종합 금융서비스를 제공하기 위해 노력하고 있음

베트남 최저임금 인상(안)

○ 베트남 노동부는 지난주 지역별 최저 임금의 개정안을 정부에 제출하였으며, 노동부

가 정부에 제출한 개정안에 따르면 제1 권역은 200만 동(약 100 달러)이며, 제2 권

역은 178만 동(약 89 달러), 제3 권역은 155만 동(약 78 달러), 제4 권역은 140만

동(약 70 달러)임

○ 노동부가 정부에 제출한 개정(안)에서 1, 2권역의 대폭적인 인상은 물가의 급격한

상승에 따른 것임. 이미 지난 5월 공무원과 국유 기업 직원에 대한 최저 임금을 인

상한 베트남 정부가 후속조치로 일반 근로자들의 최저임금 인상을 추진함.

○ 블룸버그와 월스트리트저널(WSJ) 등은 13일 현지 언론들의 보도를 인용해 베트남

정부가 내·외국인 기업 근로자의 최저임금을 똑같이 적용하도록 하는 최저임금방안

을 마련, 오는 10월부터 추진할 계획이라고 보도함

○ 인상안이 통과되면 10월10일부터 적용될 예정이며, 모두 4개의 권역별로 구분된 인

상안은 수도 하노이와 남부 호찌민 등 대도시가 포함된 제1권역 근로자의 최저임금

은 200만동(10만5,000원)으로 인상되며, 또 제2, 3, 4권역은 각각 178만동(9만

2,000원), 155만동(7만9,000원), 140만동(7만2,000원)으로 각각 오름.
