(서울=연합뉴스) 폭로전문 웹사이트 위키리크스가 구글과 페이스북에 미국으로부터 받은 정보공개 요구서 내용을 공개할 것을 촉구했다고 영국 일간 가디언 인터넷판이 9일 보도했다.

   위키리크스는 미국 버지니아 지방법원이 트위터에 대해 위키리크스 설립자 줄리언 어산지 등 사이트 관련자 5명에 관한 정보를 비밀리에 넘길 것을 명령한 사실이 드러난 뒤 이 같은 요구를 해왔다고 신문은 전했다.

   위키리크스는 성명을 통해 "미 정부 대배심이 위키리크스에 대한 비밀 조사를 벌이고 있다는 사실이 오늘 관련 문서가 일반 사이트에 공개되면서 처음으로 확인됐다"고 비난했다.

   앞서 가디언은 미 정부가 위키리크스와 연관된 인사들의 개인 정보를 트위터에 요청했다고 보도한 바 있다.

   특히 대배심은 트위터 측에 위키리크스 설립자 줄리언 어산지 및 이 단체와 접촉한 인사들의 사용자 이름과 주소, 접속기록, 전화 및 계좌번호 등 개인 정보를 넘기라고 요구한 것으로 알려졌다.

   위키리크스는 대배심이 관련자 5명의 트위터 계정을 요구했으며, 페이스북과 구글도 비슷한 정보를 요구받은 것으로 믿는다고 주장했다.
