A quarter size of an existing space shuttle called as ‘mini space shuttle’ will provide a safe and affordable transportation service for astronauts, Orbital Science Corporation (OSC) said on Dec 14. The mini space shuttle would seat four astronauts. A feature of the vehicle is that it does not include an engine. The vehicle will launch atop an expandable launch vehicle like Atlas V and return to Earth with a conventional runway landing.
