[지디넷코리아]전자종이 업체 e잉크가 이번달 매출 사상최대치를 경신할 전망이다. 29일 대만 디지타임스는 e잉크가 이번달, 다음달에 걸쳐 각 월별 매출 30억대만달러(한화 약 1천135억원)를 넘길 것으로 예상했다. 

블랙브라이데이 등 연말 쇼핑 시즌을 맞은 매출 호조에 내년 초까지 전자책 시장 상승세가 이어지면서 매출이 확대될 것이라는 전망이다. 

중국 한본테크놀로지는 내년 전자책을 100만대 이상 출하할 것으로 예상되고 소니는 일본에서 전자책을 출시하며 시장 확대에 나서며 출하량도 늘어날 것으로 추정됐다. 

또 교육용 시장은 주춤하지만 소비 시장은 강세다. 디지타임스는 올해 전자책 시장이 1천만대를 넘을 것으로 예상했다. 

전자책 시장은 통상 연말이 성수기다. 유럽, 미국 연말 쇼핑 대목을 맞아 e잉크 매출은 지난 10월에도 전월 대비 30% 상승한 27억7천만대만달러(한화 약 1천48억원)를 기록했다. 

올 4분기 e잉크 매출은 총 90억대만달러(한화 약 3천406억원) 수준이 될 것으로 추정됐다.
