(홍콩.쑨더<中광둥>=연합뉴스) 정재용 특파원 = 영화배우이자 전설의 무술인이었던 이소룡(李小龍.리샤오룽.브루스 리)의 탄생 70주년을 앞두고 중국과 홍콩을 중심으로 그에 대한 추모열기가 고조되고 있다.
이소룡 탄생 70주년을 이틀 앞둔 25일 중국 베이징(北京), 상하이(上海), 홍콩 등 중국 전역의 개봉관에서는 그의 일대기를 그린 작품 `이소룡'(李小龍)이 일제히 상영됐다.
영화 `이소룡'은 친동생인 리전휘(李振輝)의 동명 소설을 영화로 만든 작품으로 개봉전부터 이소룡의 팬들과 언론들로부터 높은 관심을 모았다.
이 영화의 감독인 원쥔과 리전휘는 지난 16일 상하이에서 기자회견을 열고 영화내용을 설명했다.
앞서 지난 3월 21일∼4월 6일 진행된 제34회 홍콩국제영화제(HKIFF)에서도 `이소룡 회고전'이 열리는 등 홍콩 영화계에도 이소룡 바람이 거세게 불고 있다.
이 회고전에는 이소룡이 10살 때 출연한 '세로상'부터 유작 '용쟁호투'까지 1953년부터 1973년까지 그가 출연한 9편의 영화가 상영됐다.
홍콩의 영화 평론가 샘 호는 "이소룡은 홍콩의 일부이며 세계가 홍콩영화를 알도록 이끌었다"고 말했다.

쿵후(功夫) `영춘권'의 대부이자 이소룡의 스승이었던 엽문(葉問,1893-1972)의 일대기를 다룬 영화`엽문'도 인기를 끌고 있다.
지난해 제작된 영화 `엽문'은 1930년대 무술인들의 메카였던 중국 광둥(廣東)성 포산(佛山)에서 영춘권의 고수로 이름을 날린 엽문이 일본군과 갈등을 겪으면서 홍콩으로 이주하는 실화를 담았다.
홍콩에서 도장을 세운 엽문은 `무술계의 전설'이 된 이소룡을 제자로 두었던 실존 인물이며 이소룡이 유일하게 존경했던 스승이기도 하다.
`엽문'에 이어 영화 `엽문2'도 올해 6월 개봉된 바 있다.
이와 함께 이소룡 아버지인 리하이취안(李海泉)의 고향인 광둥성 포산시 쑨더(順德)구에도 최근 18.8ｍ의 동상이 건립되는 등 이소룡 재조명 작업이 활발하게 진행되고 있다.
쑨더구 정부가 쑨더구 쥔안(均安)진에 위치한 `이소룡 기념공원'(李小龍樂園. Bruce Lee Paradise)에 건립해 지난 23일 제막식을 가진 이 동상은 이소룡 동상으로는 세계에서 규모가 가장 크다.
홍콩 까우룽(九龍)반도 침사추이 해변에 위치한 이소룡 동상을 보기 위해 홍콩을 찾는 관광객들도 최근 들어 부쩍 늘어났다고 한다.

침사추이의 이소룡 동상은 높이 2.5ｍ, 무게 600㎏로 규모는 작지만 이미 홍콩의 관광명소로 자리를 잡고 있다.
이와 함께 홍콩정부는 이소룡이 어린시절 거주했던 홍콩의 집을 기념관으로 건립하는 계획을 추진하고 있다.
이소룡 저택의 소유주인 자선사업가 위팡린(余彭年)과 홍콩 정부가 2년이 넘도록 이소룡 기념관을 어떤 식으로 세울지에 대해 합의점을 찾지 못해 기념관 건립사업이 교착상태에 있지만 조만간 결론이 날 것으로 보인다.
위팡린은 2008년 중국의 쓰촨(四川)대지진 직후 홍콩 카우룽퉁(九龍塘) 컴벌랜드 로드 41번가에 위치한 이소룡의 저택을 기념관 건립용으로 기증하겠다고 발표했다.
위팡린은 당초 이소룡의 저택을 팔아 지진성금을 내려고 했으나 역사적인 건물을 보존해야 한다는 여론에 따라 계획을 철회하고 시가 1억홍콩달러(150억원) 상당의 저택을 홍콩 정부에 기증하기로 했다.
이 저택은 이소룡이 1973년 32세의 나이로 사망하기 직전까지 살았던 집이다. 위팡린은 현재 지상 2층 규모의 이소룡 저택을 지하실을 새로 만들어 3층으로 개조한 뒤 박물관, 영화관, 무술센터 등을 세울 것을 주장하고 있다.
반면 홍콩 정부와 이소룡 가족은 1970년대 이소룡이 살던 집과 같은 형태로 복원하기를 원해 양자가 이견을 빚고 있는 상태다.
이소룡이 숨지기 직전까지 미국인 아내 린다 에머리 등 가족들과 함께 살았던 카우룽퉁 자택은 그가 죽은 이듬해 위팡린에게 팔렸으며, 내부 공사를 거쳐 러브호텔로 운영돼 왔다.
